ABC News obtained a police report that provides an update on the circumstances surrounding the arrest of Zach Bryan, whose country music career was recorded in Oklahoma.

According to the police report, Bryan’s private security was in an SUV and he was driving a pickup truck when the SUV was pulled over for allegedly speeding on Thursday evening.

According to the report, Bryan stopped beside the SUV driven by the driver in Craig County.

According to the report, Bryan exited the pickup and walked towards Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Ben Bertram, where he was reported to be “pondering over this entire time.”

“Bertram made a second request to the driver, telling him to get back in his truck and do what he was told. He would be arrested if they did not comply with,” the report stated.

According to the police report, Bryan responded by saying, “I’m going to go to jail, let’s do it.”

Online records indicate that Zach Bryan, a country music star, was arrested in Oklahoma on Thursday, Sept. 7, 2023, for obstructing an investigation by the Craig County Sheriff’s Office.

“At that point, Bertram took off his handcuffs and apprehended the man,” according to the report.

According to the police report, Bryan claimed that he was not acting wrongly while in handcuffs.

The trooper was told by Bryan that their disdain for police officers was the reason for their arrest.

The trooper was reportedly told by Bryan that he would return to his truck and say “Don’t do it, sir. I promise.”

The report stated that Bryan claimed the cops were out of control, as this was the second instance in three days.

The report stated that Bryan requested his dad’s assistance in retrieving the truck.

According to the report, Bertram allegedly asked Bryan’s father about the arrest and was informed that his phone was on speaker.

According to the report, Bryan was taken into custody for obstructing a law enforcement officer.

Bryan admitted to taking responsibility for the incident in a nearly five-minute video on social media, stating that he was “mouthing off” and acting foolishly.

He said: ‘I hope everyone knows that I am not above the law.

The video Bryan shared on social media indicated that the handcuffs were too tight.

“According to Bryan, the Trooper was unconcerned about his duties as a police officer and believed that they were not meant to be comfortable.”

In the video, Bryan states that he had an altercation with law enforcement three days prior and was handcuffed for allegedly failing to provide his address to a police officer who stopped him. He claimed that this did not cause any problems during the incident.

The No. 1 song in America at the moment is “I Remember Everything,” a duet with Kacey Musgraves, which has been recognized by Bryan and charting on the Billboard Hot 100.
