On the second day of its release, OMG 2, starring Akshay Kumar and Pankaj, earned an impressive 14.50 crore, bringing its total collection to a maximum of –24.76 crore according to early estimates published by Sacnilk.com.
According to the report, all Indian cinemas showed a total of 57.91% occupancy for its Hindi version. The makers reported that “OMG 2” earned 10.26 crore at the domestic box office on Saturday.
Viacom18 Studios presented “OMG 2”, a film that explores the themes of teenagers and the importance of sex education. The movie is billed as ‘a spiritual sequel’ to the 2012 film “OH My God!”, featuring Kumar and Paresh Rawal.
The movie depicts Akshay Kumar, the messenger of Bholenath, standing with long hair, buying kachodis, and bathing in a dirty pond. There are numerous protests against this scene, with many calling it an insult to god.
‘OMG 2’, featuring Amit Rai as its leader, has been under the watch since the release of the film’s posters and teaser. According to multiple reports, the censor board initially stopped screening the movie due to its religious content, but it was eventually approved by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).
The censor board granted Akshay Kumar an ‘A’ (Adults Only) certificate for the film, which also features him playing the role of Lord Shiva’s messenger.
‘OMG 2’, a sequel to the film starring Paresh Rawal and Akshay Kumar-starred Akash Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi, was released on August 11.
