At the G20 summit, Japan’s First Lady was seen wearing a saree during the President dinner.

Several foreign dignitaries, including Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida’s wife Yuko Keptida and IMF chief Kristalina Georgieva, donned traditional Indian outfits at the G-20 Dinner hosted by President Droupadi Murmu on Saturday night.

All attendees were dressed to the nines for the special event, with many choosing to dress in unique ways inspired by Indian fashion.

At the G-20 Dinner in Delhi, IMF Chief Georgieva looked elegant in a purple ethnic suit and wore khakis with her golden dupatta.

A stunning green saree was worn by Yuko Kishida, the wife of Japanese PM Fumio. She paired her attire with a pink blouse.

Wearing an Indo-western ensemble, Tshepo Motsepe paired her hair in a bun with zarika (a flowing gajra) as her husband, Cyril Ramaphosa.

The dinner’s glitz was heightened by the fact that Prime Minister Pravind Kumar arrived dressed in a black bandhgala suit, while his wife Kobita Jugnauth looked stunning in her saree.

Sheikh Hasina, the Prime Minister of Bangladesh in a saree with an ornate pearl necklace, looked like he had an ethnicity.

Akshata Murty, the wife of UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, incorporated a vintage style into her modern attire.

At a dias before the dinner began, President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi welcomed world leaders with fervent hospitality, while the backdrop was created by the ruins of Nalanda University in Bihar and India’s G20 presidency theme, ‘Vasiliendhaiva Kutumbakam – One Earth, One Family,One Future’.

A white kurta and churidar top worn by PM Modi completed the outfit. He accessorized with a blue V-neck striped jacket. President Murmu chose saree with turquoise border as traditional.

PM Modi had a meeting with world leaders at the opening session of the two-day G20 Summit before the dinner.
