The Vibrant Villages Programme aims to enhance the quality of life of individuals living in villages near the border regions. The program’s objective is to encourage them to stay in these areas, which will help to reverse the trend of outmigration and improve border security.

The Red Fort event was attended by the beneficiaries of PM-KISAN.

Around 1,800 individuals, including those and their families who are part of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme, have been invited to attend PM Modi’s speech on Independence Day, as per a government release from the agriculture ministry.

Two individuals from Maharashtra have been selected to attend the Independence Day celebrations at the Red Fort.

“I never thought Id wait to visit New Delhi’s Red Fort on Independence Day,” shared Ashok Sudam Ghule, a farmer from Pune district who works with the PM-KISAN scheme and owns 1.5 acres of land.

The PM-KISAN scheme is a program implemented by the Central Government to provide financial assistance to farmer families across the country who have cultivable land, with some exceptions. Under this initiative, an annual amount of 6,000 is given in three equal parts of existing YIR (about 20% of current account balance) directly into the farmers’ bank accounts linked with Aadhaar.
