Two more deaths due to Dengue infection have been reported by a health official in Kolkata on September 10.
He stated that the deceased individuals consist of a teenage girl and an interim staff member from Dum Dub police station.
According to him, Pritam Bhowmick, a police station worker, was admitted to swine-infested Pritim at 2:30am on Friday and later found himself in ice at the nursing home in the Dum Dub area of the city.
The official stated that “Bhowmick died on Saturday morning after being diagnosed with dengue.”
A teen named Madhu Singh, who lived in Motijheel near Dum Dub, was treated at a government hospital after feeling sick for some time.
She was initially taken to a private College Street nursing home, but her family moved her to Beliaghata ID Hospital where she later died on Saturday morning from complications related to dengue and hemorrhagic fever, he said.
