On Saturday, Russia’s Foreign Ministry condemned the “terrorist attack” on the Crimean Bridge by Ukraine and pledged to retaliate, citing the threat to innocent civilians.
The ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova stated on Telegram that there is no justification for such reprehensible actions and that they will be answered without any explanation.
A Ukrainian rocket attack on the bridge linking Russia and Crimea across the Kerch Strait was prevented by Russia’s Defence Ministry, as reported earlier.
The ministry stated that Russian forces had taken down several Ukrainian drones that were targeting the peninsula.
