The significant gap in AMD’s graphics card lineup is likely to be addressed. Powercolor recently set its RX 7800 XT Red Devil webpage online, providing a detailed description of the card and its specifications. However, there are still unresolved questions about the Rx 7700 YT, but it seems like it will be available soon.
@moma_us spotted a product listing at the Eurasian Economic Commission (via VideoCardz) that lists five ASRock graphics cards. The list includes three RX 7700 XT 12GB models, as well as two Rx 7800 SU 16GB options.
ASRock terminology refers to the RX 7700 XT cards as 12GO, which means 12GB of VRAM and a 192-bit memory bus. While this may seem excessive, it’s still important to consider other factors that impact performance.
The complete Powercolor RX 7800 XT leak and ASRock’s Rx 7700 Listed make it clear that the cards will soon be launched. AMD CEO Dr Lisa Su had promised new “enthusiast-class” graphics cards before the end of October, but the wait is minimal. However, the RQ 7850 / 8th generation chips are expected to arrive first.
To bridge the gap between the RX 7600 priced at $269 and the corresponding RQ 7900 XT priced around $899, AMD has been using Rx 6000-series cards to provide the necessary additional power for its chips.
The RX 7700 XT’s success will depend on whether it competes with the RTX 4060 Ti or is less expensive. Then, the Rx 7800 YT should offer an alternative to the current LT400, although the latter may not provide the same level of performance. Finally, price and performance are everything; at least the challengers from AMD and Nvidia have better memory configurations.
It won’t be long before we know the answers to all these questions. Let the battle begin again!”
