CNN –
On Thursday, the Television Academy and Fox revealed that the 75th Emmy Awards will no longer be broadcast in January on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
Traditionally, the awards show has been held in September, but there were predictions that it might be postponed or completely cancelled due to the ongoing strikes of writers and actors in Hollywood.
The biggest awards ceremony on TV was postponed, as announced last month.
As per the Fox press release, the Emmy Awards will be televised live on FOX from the Peacock Theater at LA Live to honor the talented performers, writers, directors, and craftspeople who have inspired, entertained, engaged, or connected audiences worldwide over the past year.
“Succession” and “The Last of Us” were among the Emmy nominations announced last month.
Monday, January 15, 2024, is when the show will be aired on Fox from 8-11 p.m. EST/5-8 pp.
