The explosion happened shortly after 7 p.m. at the east plant in the ADM processing complex located in Decatur, Illinois.

The agricultural company released a statement on its website on Sunday, stating that several workers were injured and transported to specialized hospitals.

A video aired by WCIA-TV depicts the discharge of a massive plume of dark smoke into the air above the facility.

ADM’s headquarters is located in Decatur, which is approximately 40 miles east of Springfield and 180 miles southeast of Chicago.
