Quake 2, a classic shooter game, has been released on the PlayStation Store for $9.99 / £7.99. It comes with several exciting new additions, such as fully functional online modes, motion control support, and ‘Call of the Machine’ expansion. Additionally, Qualified 64 is included in the price, which is quite impressive!
The official description states that Quake II is an original and authentic game, now with high-quality components like widescreen resolution in up to 4K*, enhanced models, improved enemy animations and gore, better and restored AI behaviors, cinematics, dynamic and colored lighting, anti-aliasing, depth of field, the original heavy rock soundtrack by Sonic Mayhem, and more.
If you’re planning on playing Quake 2 with friends, it’s worth noting that this remaster from Sony includes four-player split-screen on their platforms.
The Call of the Machine expansion is a new addition to MachineGames’ Quake II experience, featuring 28 campaign levels and one multiplayer deathmatch map. It appears that this re-release has exceeded expectations.
