The Government of India’s Har Ghar Tiranga campaign will start today and continue until 15 August, the 77th Independence Day. Prime Minister Modi urged fellow Indians to join the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga movement’ in X (previously Twitter), tweeting that the Tricolour is a symbol of freedom and national unity. According to a government release, the Department of Posts is responsible for selling and distributing high-quality national flags to the public as part of the Har Ghar Tiranga initiative.

According to Union Culture Secretary Govind Mohan, approximately 2.5 crore flags have been distributed to the post offices as part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign.
